Thanks to the Soroptimists

Friday, September 17th, 2010

Hats off to the Soroptimists of Trenton for throwing yet another amazing Chick Ride. 7 years and going strong. This event has been called “Our Favorite Gig” ever since we got involved at the start. Every year we look forward to the opportunity to spend the day at Oak Tree Farms, ride the helicopter and eat the chicken marsala. That doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of how much fun everyone has at this event. We’re still waiting to hear the final tally on the number of bikes and attendees… but it was packed. You’ll just have to take our word on it.

Special thanks to Dan Drotar for taking such great photographs at the Chick Ride for Cancer Awareness this year and allowing the band to use a few shots on our site. You can view all of his work at dandrotar.com and a few selections from the Chick Ride on our photos page.

Childhelp.org Fundraiser

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

Yesterday 7MJ performed outside of Joe’s Headquarters in Farmington. Set up ‘Grand Ole Opry’ style, the group crowded around an old mic and played for a few hours.  The band helped Jackie P raise money for her preferred charity at the Founder’s Day Festival.  Jackie P set up under a tent and hair for a minimum $10 donation to Childhelp.org. So far this weekend, she’s raised around $1500 and there’s still one more day to go!

There was a brief moment of breakdancing mania just before the 7MJ boys got their stylish new hair cuts. Jon Vidal lost his lovely locks for a more stylish shorter trim. There will be pictures of it on the 7 Million Jigawatts Facebook Fan Page.

Please help 7MJ find this kid.
