During the second set, the band pulled out some hits from 1984 in a tribute to the last time that the Detroit Tigers went to the World Series. Ask Clint, Silky's makes a killer martini. The band will be dusting off some of the great dance tunes from the 70's, 80's and even 90's. Now the boys in the band all want bikes for Christmas. Much love to the gang at the Monterey Music Cafe for hosting 7MJ this past weekend. As always, 7MJ has more than enough room to get their groove on, the air conditioning was on full blast and the beer was cold! Yum! The band is gearing up for a night out of the city this coming Saturday. The Murphy Inn, in beautiful downtown Saint Clair, is a perfect summer time escape, great food, friendly staff and a certain old time vibe that takes you back... way back. Let your hair down, get out of the Detroit smog for a weekend and dip your toe in the lake with 7 Million Jigawatts. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 07.09.06 If you missed the party this past weekend in the tent at the Trenton MidSummer Festival, you missed the best rock n' roll extravaganza in the Midwest. 7MJ had a blast jammin' and partying with The Respectables (Nick Piunti, Joe Gaydos, Pete Bankert and Donn Deniston) and the Joey Gaydos Group (featuring Joey Gaydos from School of Rock, Nick Brandon and Jonathan Redmond)! We'd like to thank both bands for putting on great opening acts and getting the crowd rip, roarin' and rarin' to go when the Jigawatts hit the stage to finish off the night. What a great sampling of local downriver Detroit talent. 7MJ also sends mountains of thanks to the friendly folks running the tent from the Sibleys Hotel Grill. These people know how to put on a party. Can't wait till next year! In other great news, 7 Million Jigawatts has added another great outdoor gig open to ALL AGES! This Saturday, July 15, outside at Biker Bob's Harley in Taylor, 7MJ takes the stage at 12:30 and plays until 4:30. This is a great chance to bring your kids out, see the band rock out, check out the bikes and have some good old American fun! If you can't make it to the afternoon show, 7 Million Jigawatts rock music lands at the Monterey Music Cafe in Allen Park for a one night performance on Saturday July 15. Showtime is 9:30 - close.
