5.12 LA to the White Lake Inn
Jake & Melissa met Jack Tempchin (All Ready Gone, Peaceful Easy Feeling), heard Jeff Lynne play on one guitar string and met all kinds of amazing people.
Now home to Detroit, they're back to work. Rockin' out all weekend at the White Lake Inn, we finished up the vocal tracks on The Way Down. Now off to Big Sky tomorrow to do final the mixes. We can't wait for you to hear them.
4.24 Greetings from ASCAP EXPO
Jake & Melissa are representing at this awesome experience to connect songwriters, musicians, industry types of all kinds!
This is an amazing experience. Yesterday, we met Billy Steinberg (True Colors, Like a Virgin, etc), Craig Weisman (Big Loud Shirt Industries) and saw an awesome interview with Ann & Nancy Wilson (Heart). There's so much more that happened, we just can't write about it all.
If you want to keep tabs on everything we're doing, Melissa's Tweeting it up on Twitter from the Expo.
The band will be in full swing next Friday night at 5th Avenue Billiards. Make sure you stop out and hear some of the new tunes.

August 7 - 7MJ to play cancer benefit for Camp Kesem
7 Million Jigawatts to play Camp Kesem cancer benefit at Red Dog Saloon on August 7 at 7 pm. Camp Kesem is a non profit organization run by college students across America and supported solely by donation. This organization sends children of cancer patients to the camp for one week each year. Come and support this great cause.

Go Wings! Due to the playoff schedule for our beloved Detroit Red Wings, the 7 Million Jigawatts show at Rogers Roost will be rescheduled. Details to come at a later date!

7 Million Jigawatts to peform at the 8th Annual Andy Ross Motorcycle Ride Afterparty!
Sponsored by Trenton Firefighters Charities, the Ride starts at Elizabeth Park in Trenton, MI.
Registration is from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., with the ride starting at Noon sharp.
Registration fee is $30 per rider/$55 with passenger before May 24, afterward it is $40/$65.
The Ride is with police escort, with a halfway stop at Milan Dragway for refreshments.
The return ride comes back through several of the scenic Huron Metroparks.
All participants receive a ride shirt and pin.
There will be a delicious pig roast when riders return to Elizabeth Park.
All proceeds are donated to the Andy Ross Charity Ride.

Metro Detroit's Indie
Rock band, 7 Million Jigawatts, has created a Motor City Style Rock
n' Roll Revival. For this tour, 7 Million Jigawatts interprets great
rock n' roll songs from artists like Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin,
Aretha Franklin, Queen, David Bowie to Madonna, Blondie, Pat Benatar
and Cheap Trick. Also including 90's artists like Jane's Addiction
and Pearl Jam, 7MJ has adapted versions of songs by current artists
like Maroon 5, U2, Liz Phair and so many more. Included in this
Revival of Rock Hits are Original Indie Rock songs written by 7
Million Jigawatts members. |
